Everton revive interest in Juventus winger for summer
Everton are reportedly preparing a third attempt to sign Edon Zhegrova from Juventus in the upcoming summer transfer window. The Toffees, led by Sean Dyche, have been long-term admirers of the Kosovan international and previously tried to secure his services both last summer and during the recent January window, though a deal failed to materialize due to late negotiations.
Zhegrova's debut season in Turin has been marred by a serious knee injury and a struggle to cement a place in Thiago Motta's starting eleven. Following a high-profile missed chance in the Champions League playoffs against Galatasaray, Italian media suggest that a summer exit is now "highly likely." Everton see the 26-year-old as the ideal profile to add flair and technical quality to their right flank as they transition into their new stadium for the 2026/27 campaign.
While Juventus may be open to a sale to recoup their investment, the Premier League side will need to assess the player's physical recovery before committing to a permanent transfer. With reported interest also stemming from other European clubs, Everton are keen to move early this time to ensure they don't lose out on a target they have tracked for over a year.
