Rangers tracking Championship sensation Žan Vipotnik for summer overhaul
Rangers are reportedly leading the chase for Swansea City striker Žan Vipotnik, as the Scottish giants look to revamp their attacking options for the 2026/27 season. The 24-year-old Slovenian international has been in scintillating form in the EFL Championship, and his clinical finishing has caught the eye of the recruitment team at Ibrox.
Vipotnik, who has already netted 16 league goals this campaign, is seen as the ideal profile to lead the line for Philippe Clement's side. With the future of several current forwards uncertain, the Rangers board is prepared to back the manager with a significant investment to bring the former Bordeaux man to Glasgow. However, they face stiff competition from Premier League side Nottingham Forest and several other European clubs.
The Welsh club is expected to demand a fee in the region of £15 million for their star asset, who still has two years left on his contract. For Rangers, securing a proven goalscorer like Vipotnik would be a major statement of intent as they aim to reclaim the Scottish Premiership title and make an impact in European competitions next season.
